Bespoke Limited Edition FESTIVAL BELT from Stitch & Hide

It’s that time of year again when Byron Bay becomes a hive of activity, culture and music. Thousands of people flock to the town for another splendid year of Splendour in the Grass. However this year we have a special little surprise launch for all you festival fun-seekers!!

Introducing the bespoke Limited Edition FESTIVAL BELT (Brown or Tan), designed by legendary leather artisan Pakaria Powell and handmade by Stitch & Hide.

The MAKING:

Pakaria is known for her handcut, tooled, dyed and distressed designs of soft, aged, luxury leather goods. She is well known for taking her inspiration from the magical, the mysterious, island cultures, the ocean and the old. Each piece inherits an essence of luxe bohemia which underlies Byron style.

This collection will only consist of 20 belts, crafted in Pakaria’s design on a “made to order basis” in Byron Bay by owner/director and master leather-crafter, Ben Tregear. Each belt is hand carved and etched with the signature design inspired by the Byron Festival vibe that we know and love.

There are only 20 of these “one of a kind” belts, which have all the hallmarks of master leather design and craftsmanship.

The SHOOT:

For the release of the FESTIVAL BELT, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Meeshka Jewellery to bring you a Byron Bay Accessories Guide to Splendour style! There’s more to festival style than clothing. It’s all in the accessory details!!

Meeshka is a quintessentially Byron jewellery label that is as intricate and elegant as it is exotic. Inspired by India, Meeshka Jewellery is characterised by semi-precious stones, antique beads and fine silver. You’ll only find Meeshka in art galleries and luxury boutiques around Australia, guaranteeing its uniqueness and eye-catching quality. It’s all handmade using only the finest metals and stones here in Byron Bay.

A huge shout out goes to our beautiful muse, Luna who is an expert at rocking the festival style. It’s such a pleasure to work with her and her natural edgy style – the perfect compliment to our leatherwork. Working behind the camera, our very own Ben Tregear and Marlen Wolff created the vision for the FESTIVAL BELT, from the initial light bulb moment, through the making of, and finally the bringing it to life.
